Animal Lovers Find Plenty to Collect at Lebanon Antiques Show
Antique collectors are also animal lovers, or so it would seem. Almost every booth in the October edition of the Lebanon Antique Show had at least one decorative item which featured an animal, bird, or fish.
The most popular subjects seem to be dogs, though cows come in a close second. Staffordshire china dogs were everywhere. Paintings featuring dogs were also popular.
Unusual animal items were also present at the show. One of our favorites was a stuffed fox.
Those looking to get a start in antique collecting should consider the small decorative arts and animal pieces are a great way to begin. You’ll see lots more decorative pieces featuring dogs, cats, pigs, cows and more at the January 21 & 22 Lebanon Antique Show at Bowman Primary.
