Tales from the Innside

The Warren County Historical Society, located in Lebanon Ohio, has just recently republished the runaway best seller “The Golden Lamb, Tales from the Innside” which has been out of print since December of 2009.

Tales from the Innside

“The Golden Lamb, Tales from the Innside” was written by local author and historian Fred Compton who had a thirty-five year career at the southwest Ohio landmark. Not a traditional history, the book takes readers behind the scenes of the iconic restaurant and hotel guided by Compton who covers everything from “the funeral home furniture in the lobby” to “the Christmas we almost cooked Rudolph.”

Originally published by Orange Frazer Press of Wilmington Ohio in August of 2009, the book sold out of its initial press run in 90 days. Copies of the first printing were recently listed on Amazon.com for almost $150.00.

Through an arrangement with Orange Frazer Press and author Fred Compton the Warren County Historical Society re-published the book as a fund raiser for its museum operations. The book is available now at the Warren County Historical Society’s museum gift shop and select retailers in and around Lebanon. The book retails for $16.99 paperback.
