For the first time in many years, The Harmon Museum is holding a docent program to train individuals who wish to share their interest in art, history and culture with visitors, tour and school groups. These docents will be trained in all aspects of the museum and will help visitors make the connections between the artifacts of the past and the reality they Perceive today. In-depth knowledge of the collections will allow you to share your knowledge and make new friends.
Docent training will be held in two, 1 hour morning sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9-10am and 11-noon. The four weeklong Docent training sessions will be held on Sept. 10, 12, 17,19, 24,26 and Oct 1 and 3. Sign-ups are open starting Aug. 18-Sept. 9. Just fill out the form to the right and a member of the Harmon Museum staff will be in touch. Help us take the Museum to the community! |
