Frontier Fair 2022

Thank you for making the 2nd Frontier Fair a success!

Adventure awaits! Experience Warren County's early days (1795-1845) on the grounds of Glendower Historic Mansion and Arboretum! Enjoy storytelling, demonstrations and musical performances. Wander through the tree-covered grounds. Speak with historic characters, Visit period venders or the Native American encampment to take part in the All Nations Drum Circle! It's fun for the whole family!
​The "frontier" is the 50 year period between the construction of the Beedle Log Cabin and Glendower Mansion!

The is NO on-site parking. Please park along Orchard Ave or at the Lebanon Library lot.


*Family rate is for 2 adults + 2 children

A Ladies Tea will be held at Glendower, Saturday and Sunday, at 11am and 1pm.
The price for this is an additional $5

Children under 10 are invited to join All Nations Drum for a "Candy Dance," Saturday & Sunday at 11:30am & 2:30pm

All Nations Drum 
​
This Native American drum and dance group has members from the Shawnee, Chinook, Lakota Sioux, Cherokee, Heron, and Potawatomi nations but are accepting of "all nations." In September of 2020, they performed at Glendower Historic Mansion. Their vibrant song, dance and stores are sure to captivate guests of all ages.

Dayton Diggers
The mission of the Dayton Diggers is to research, recover, and document history. Using metal detectors. the Dayton Diggers find and recover artifacts that have been long forgotten.

Doug Baird
Paleontologist and nationally recognized geological expert, Doug Baird, will explain and demonstrate the intricacies of knapping flint as well as identify artifacts ands fossils. Baird was a huge part in the updating of our Archeological & Indigenous Peoples Exhibit.
Joyce Lovins Browning
​Performing Living History for over 19 years, Browning worked for 20 years as the Naturalist Coordinator for the Great Parks of Hamilton County and now works as a Tour Coordinator for Ohio Travel Treasures. She has portrayed a number of characters in our Lunch & Learn lectures.

Millie Henley
​Through her enterprise, Historical Connections, Henley presents programs on the lives of Martha & George Washington, as well as stories from the Civil War, all in period style clothing. A lifelong student of history, she worked for a number of years as a librarian.
